My in-laws and my mom are constantly telling me as you get older, time flies by faster. I agree, but only the days Friday afternoon until Sunday night. Monday-Friday at 4-slower than a geezer on a Hoveround.
I have to admit, I didn't watch the Super Bowl at all. I was still paying for the night out before. And by paying, I mean puking. Ugh. When will I learn? 33 is not the new 21.
Here's my Weekend Update:
Friday: I headed out to Target for some quick Jeanio birthday shopping after work. She has a thing about Paris, so I found her some cute stuff for her room. I was really good and didn't buy myself anything. Except some Hershey's Kisses.
We went to Blue Ginger for dinner. We took the Jeanio and her BFF. They watched TV the whole time and basically looked like zombies:
Saturday: I had big plans for Saturday, including a long run. Sadly, I had to take my anti-dizziness medicine and slept for a couple of hours. Then we headed off to eat oysters for Steve’s birthday. At some point, I thought it’d be a great idea to do a birthday shot with him after having a couple of glasses of wine. STUPID STUPID STUPID. First, I’m not technically supposed to drink on the dizziness medicine I take. Aaaand shots are always bad for me-singularly or in quantity. It was not good.
Sunday: Woke up feeling like death. And by death, I mean D.E.A.T.H. I told my Steve happy 43rd birthday and went back to sleep. I crawled out of bed to go to his birthday lunch at D’s Wings (yum, by the way). Lunch was fun and I felt pretty good after more stomach pyrotechnics.
Steve got some pretty good presents, including tandem sky diving from my mom and a great picture of our Nutmeg from his parents. To say he was excited about the whole skydiving thing would be an understatement. I think it’s time to make sure the wills are up to date…
I did catch the Dodge Farmers commercial, which I loved. And I heard all about the godaddy commercial. I’ve always hated those commercials anyway, but I suppose this year’s was fitting considering Beyonce was pole dancing nearly nekkid.
So I learned a few things this weekend. One, don't mix when the medicine bottle says not to. Two, no shots. Ever. Three, I'm never drinking again. Four, give a man sky diving and he is TOTALLY happy.

Hope your feeling better today.. I know how you feel.. Damn the 30's. I think it will be another long break until my next beer.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Like I said to you already...we are too old to think we are still 21!!! It's always a GREAT idea to take that last drink at the time...
